Guest-house Renovation, Port Douglas, QLD

This guesthouse renovation involved a full interior rebuild after severe damage from a previous tenant. The new owner wanted to strip the space back to its core and start fresh with durable, high-quality finishes. The en-suite was completely demolished and rebuilt, with eroding timber columns replaced by metal strips for improved structural integrity. Insulation and fresh gyprock were installed to enhance thermal performance. The floors were relevelled using fluid concrete, and a new shower dividing wall was constructed and waterproofed. The final phase included tiling and painting, bringing the space back to life with a clean and modern finish. This renovation transformed a heavily damaged space into a functional and inviting guesthouse, ensuring longevity and comfort for future occupants.
